Monday 3/11

Today students are going to finish their "My Movie" in Windows Live Movie Maker.  You must have a minimum of 20 slide in your movie.  When you have all your pictures imported, either from the internet of photos that you have access to, you will need to chance the speed of your slide show.  How to change your speed is listed below.

Changing the speed or duration of your movie:
  1. Go to the Edit tab in Movie Maker
  2. Highlight all of your photos, either one by one or in rows.
  3. Change the "duration" to .20 which is 20 seconds.
  4. Press play

When you are finished, just save it to your H: Drive.  No need to email it to me, we will be taking a look at these in class next Monday!

When you are finished, I want you to start brainstorming a simple story line that you will be creating on sticky notes!  Sticky note animation is the simplest form of Stop Frame animation, which we will be working with for the next few weeks!
What do I do?
  1. Grab a sticky note pad
  2. Begin from the back
  3. Start with drawing one object or a scene
  4. Move to the next sticky note, anything that you don't want to move, redraw in the same place (you can see through the sticky note, so redrawing will be easy) Then redraw what you want to move but with something changed.  For instance, if you draw a person, you could move one leg at a time, or you could just redraw your person with a slight change of where that person is on the paper.
  5. Draw one movement change on each sticky note from front to back.  So on and so forth...
  6. Draw as many sticky note pages as you can to form a complete story!
  7. Start from the back and fan through to the front and you will see your animation come to life!
  8. Watch this videos for what sticky note animation looks like! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRYn16atpuw
If you need more pages grab more from the pile of sticky notes, or if you have too many, take off extra and put them in the sticky note pile!
